WE ARE HIRING
The Forum for African Women Educationalists of Zambia (FAWEZA) is a membership based - gender justice organization with the aim of promoting girls and women’s access to quality inclusive education. FAWEZA is currently seeking to recruit qualified and experienced two (2) Regional Field Officers and one (1) Senior Human Resource & Administration Officer as follows:
Position 1 Regional Field Officers (2 positions)
Department Programmes
Location Regional Offices
Reports to Senior Programmes Officer- Bursaries
Employment Period 3 years, renewable subject to performance review
Summary Key Responsibilities
Coordinate implementation of the Bursaries Program in the assigned regions, in line with the programme document.
Lead in programme information collection and sharing
Timely liaison with National Secretariat on all programme related matters ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Receive and compile bursary applications for onward submission to National Secretariat
Update and maintain database of all students supported by the programme from inception to the end programme
Compile programme regional narrative reports in compliance with contractual requirements
Submit funds retirements and expenditure reports for all programme activities implemented in respective regions.
Liaise with other CSOs or stakeholders to potentially support programme achievements.
Manage and coordinate the use of programme assets made available for all programme related activities at regional level.
Technical And Behavioural Competencies
Excellent facilitation, participatory engagement, and community mobilization skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs.
Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive, collaborative team.
Demonstrated commitment to intersectionality, diversity, and inclusion
Good report writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft package
Qualifications and competencies
At least three (3) years experience in a similar role in an NGO environment
Degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Sociology, Social Sciences or related discipline.
Ability to organize own work and work independently without being prompted.
Excellent analytical, communication skills as well as problem identification and solving skills.
Good interpersonal skills and team-player
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, with knowledge of language, cultural values of community one is operating in.
Must be ready to work from any part of Zambia.
Position 2 Senior Human Resource and Administration Officer (1 Position)
Department Human Resource & Administration
Location National Secretariat Office, Lusaka
Reports to Human Resource & Administration Manager
Employment Period 3 years, renewable subject to performance review
Summary Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive HR and administrative duties.
Maintain a proper confidential system for personnel records for all employees in order to provide a comprehensive, efficient, accurate and current record of all matters pertinent to employment, transfer, tenure, retirement, leave and promotion.
Maintain databases for personnel records.
Manage and maintain a record of leave days
Support with the induction and orientation of new employees.
Support with the administration of the recruitment process and performance reviews / appraisals.
Support with the production and issuance of offer letters and employee contracts.
TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
Confidentiality, tact, discretion and self-control at all times
Exceptional Organizational and Administrative skills
Ethics and integrity
Attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Human Resource Management or any other related qualification.
3 years’ experience in Human Resource and Administration management.
Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
Previous experience in working in a similar role within the NGO sector and Knowledge of Zambia Labor Legislation will be an added advantage.
