Role Overview:

We are seeking a capable and reliable Farm Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a medium sized commercial (arable and horticultural) farm in Ikelenge, NWP. You will be responsible for coordinating labour, managing agricultural activities, and implementing the strategic direction provided by leadership.

This is a hands-on management role requiring excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills.



Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily farming operations, including planting, maintenance, harvest, irrigation, and livestock care (where applicable)

· Lead supervisors, farm workers and casual labourers

· Execute strategic farm plans in consultation with the Chief of Staff and Managing Director

· Track and report progress on all ongoing field activities

· Maintain farm equipment and coordinate basic repairs

· Ensure safety protocols and efficient use of resources

· Assist with procurement and stock management (seeds, fertilisers, fuel, etc.)

· Support record-keeping and contribute to regular operational reports

Working hours: Ordinarily 40 h Monday to Friday, although additional hours may be required at peak times commensurate with this salaried management role.



Essential Skills:

· Minimum 2+ years of experience in agricultural operations or farm supervision, including record-keeping

· Competency in Maths and English (for input calibrations, reporting, etc.)

· Strong organisational and leadership skills

· Reliable, honest, and proactive

· Able to live and work in a rural area



Preferred Profile:

Diploma or Degree in Agriculture.
Christian values and sympathy with the Reformed theological tradition is an advantage
