    Kectil Centre for Youth Excellence-Zambia wishes to announce that the application portal for the 3-Month Entrepreneurship and Leadership Program Application is now open.

    Please note that this is a fully funded program, therefore, we receive a lot of applications and we only pick the best and well-submitted applications. For selected candidates, we will communicate with them through emails by 15th July, 2025. The first mentorship class will kick off on 26th July, 2025.

    In this program, we meet twice a month at Mulungushi Conference Centre from 08:00 to 12:30hrs on Saturdays only. The program brings business leaders, experienced entrepreneurs, and experts from different backgrounds to network and nurture young entrepreneurs.

    Programs Volunteer: Provide support in program implementation, community and stakeholder engagement, and project management to drive impact community development.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

    Age: 18 years or older Education:

    Minimum of 5 O’ Levels or Grade 12 Full Certificate, including English and Mathematics. Any related tertiary qualification an added advantage.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Excellent communication and writing skills

    Ability to work independently and team player

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR GRAPHICS DESIGNER

    1. Background about Civil Society for Poverty Reduction

    CSPR is a civil society network of one hundred and four (104) members that has been building the voices for poor people in the fight against poverty in Zambia. It was established in 2000, primarily, to ensure that civil society effectively and meaningfully participated in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of poverty reduction Programmes, including the National Development Planning process. The main aim is to ensure that Government provides effective mechanisms for planning and implementing poverty reduction interventions.

    CSPR has been operationalizing its mandate and the accompanying activities using the strategic planning approach. This has been identified as the most appropriate method given that poverty and its reduction are not a short-term matter but require systematic interventions based on careful planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

    2. Project Background

    CSPR, with support from the Open Society Foundation (OSF) is implementing a project titled Advocacy for Transparency and Enhancing Women Participation In Public Debt Management in Zambia to advocate for improved debt management through enhanced transparency and accountability by government.

    The goal of the project is to advocate for transparency and enhanced women’s participation in Public Debt Management in Zambia. Geographically, the Project will be implemented in Lusaka’s, Luapula (Mansa) and North- Western (Solwezi) Provinces. Ultimately, this project will improve the management of public debt by government through enhanced transparency and accountability in the utilization of public resources, while at the same capacitating Women – Led Organizations, Feminist Movements, Women and Youth with the necessary skills to hold their duty bearers to account.

    I. To increase the participation of women and feminist movements and CSOs in monitoring the government’s accountability in the management of public debt at the regional and national levels.

    II. To build awareness among community members, women, and women-led organizations on the impact of debt on the provision of services in education, social protection, health, and water/sanitation.

    3. Objective of the assignment

    CSPR is seeking the expertise of a skilled graphic designer to provide technical services. The objective is to design the Advocacy for Transparency and Women’s Participation in Public Debt Management Project- Facilitator’s Training Manual. The training manual will also be used by the project teams implementing the project.

    4. Scope of Work

    The designer is expected to undertake the following tasks during the assignment:

    I. Graphically Design the Training Manual on the Advocacy for Transparency and Enhanced Women’s Participation in Public Debt Management Project

    II. Type set the text of the manual to ensure that it is consistent in format, proofreading it for typo’s and that it is copy and print ready.

    III. Ensure that the graphics and pictures being used are gender responsive, easy to read and appropriate for the target audience of the Facilitator’s Training Manual.

    IV. Work with the Communications Specialist to ensure that there is brand compliance with CSPR’s work.

    V. Offer any other technical assistance as may be required in the undertaking of this assignment.

    Background

    Circus Zambia was established in December 2015 and is a social circus. Through circus activities which include education and soft skills, we provide young people with holistic support to develop their bodies, minds and souls. We do this for young people to become change makers in their community, creating a movement of confident, knowledgeable and engaged youths. Circus Zambia started from the grass roots level, with circus artist from Chibolya and a Dutch development worker coming together to create a vision. Now we work with over 500 youth directly and reach over 3000 young people on an annual basis. We have toured Japan, the UK and the USA and have built a 200 seat-theatre and training hall in Kabulonga which was opened by Prince Harry in 2018.

    Circus Zambia is currently embarking a project aimed at creating a discrimination free school environments for youths in Chibolya. The project aims at utilizing circus sports to address intersectional discrimination in 5 different schools of Lusaka, focusing on the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of participants.

    The objective of this assignment is to support Circus Zambia to develop 2 curricula of 20 sessions, one curriculum that address anti-discrimination approaches and effects of discrimination and the other curriculum that addresses the effects and mental health for youths affected by discrimination through social circus. Furthermore, the consultant will be asked to train 10 CZ staff and 15 teachers to utilize these approaches, focusing on the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of participants.



    2. Scope of the Assignment

    The assignment includes the following:

    Research and development on discrimination for chibolya youths in schools
    Develop 2 curricula of 20 sessions each on the effects and prevention of discrimination and a mental health curriculum for youths affected by discrimination. The process of development is one of co-creation with assigned circus Zambia staff, ensuring that circus is integrated in the curricula comprehensively.
    Conduct a test run of the curricula at circus Zambia with designated youth after which the curricula will be finalized.
    Conduct TOT to allow CZ staff utilize the curricula in a comprehensive manner.
    Participate in TOT with teachers to allow teachers to utilize the curricula in comprehensive manner.
    Conduct annual refresher process.
    3. Deliverables

    Two-page paper detailing main findings on research and development on the current situation of discrimination on chibolya youths in schools.
    Lay out of curricula detailing workflow and main topics of each session – to be approved by project management team.
    Two curricula that integrate circus and information in a comprehensive manner, containing 20 sessions.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Prepare financial reports and statements for management and donors Manage budgets and monitor expenditures Ensure timely statutory compliance (e.g., ZRA, NAPSA, NHIMA) Support audits and financial reviews Manage payroll and staff benefits Ensure financial systems and controls are maintained Minimum Requirements: Full Accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) ZICA membership (mandatory) At least 3 years’ experience working in the NGO or non-profit sector Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks) Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Strong understanding of donor reporting and complianc POSITION 2: Accounts Intern Job Purpose: The Accounts Intern will support the Accountant in day-to-day financial operations and gain practical experience in NGO financial management. Key Responsibilities: Assist in data entry and financial documentation Support bank reconciliations and petty cash management Help prepare payment vouchers and receipts File and maintain financial records Provide administrative support to the finance department Assist during audits and donor reporting Minimum Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Accounting (or actively pursuing) Knowledge of basic accounting principles Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and Word essential) Eagerness to learn and ability to work in a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preference will be given to applicants based in Kabwe. !
